The Challenge
We aimed to professionalize and scale our services by creating a new business entity supported by modern IT tools. To enable growth, we needed a scalable CRM and digital workplace allowing secure access to data anytime, anywhere, while integrating with existing infrastructure and enabling a broader digital transformation.
Problems
Legacy processes and fragmented systems limited efficiency, with data stored locally across sites and difficult to access remotely. Many tasks were still handled manually, leading to inconsistent data quality, slow workflows, and limited standardization. As a result, collaboration and visibility across teams were restricted. We needed better structure and standardization to improve collaboration.
Solutions
To address these challenges, we implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service and SharePoint within Microsoft 365, enabling a scalable and quickly deployable CRM and collaboration environment. This enabled field technicians and back-office staff to access consistent data anytime and anywhere, improving communication and reducing errors in daily operations. The Challenge
Siemens and Prodware use Microsoft HoloLens and Dynamics 365 to transform eHighway commissioning. Mixed reality gives technicians real-time access to digital models, safety guidance and remote collaboration tools, improving maintenance quality, documentation accuracy and operational efficiency.
Problems
Before the first operation of the eHighway, technicians must ensure the pantograph works flawlessly while managing complex safety procedures and technical documentation. Traditional commissioning methods limit collaboration between on-site engineers and headquarters, slow down issue tracking and make documentation processes time-consuming and prone to manual errors. Serial numbers are entered manually.
Solutions
Using Microsoft HoloLens, Siemens and Prodware created a mixed reality solution connected to Dynamics 365. Technicians can access digital models, safety videos and service instructions directly in the field while sharing real-time data with remote experts. Audio comments and future OCR integration simplify documentation, improve collaboration and help continuously optimize maintenance processes.
