Coldec was founded in 1978 and initially only produced color flakes for the floor processing industry. Later they also began producing decorative paint systems. In the 1990’s, current CEO Ron Bleize stepped in and brought the company to Europe. Coldec continued to grow, resulting in running business operations in 50 countries with 300 store locations in China.

Microsoft Dynamic 365 Business Central
“We have migrated all financial & logistics processes to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Now we know exactly where we stand at any time of the day and the direction we are going in.”
– Ron Bleize, CEO Coldec Group
Coldec continues to grow at a very fast rate, Ron Bleize states “You definitely need a good system to support that growth. Moreover, we are in a world that is changing very quickly. The emphasis is on data safety and flexibility. A good ERP system should facilitate this. We are working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central because that is a platform which meets our needs.”
“We know Prodware as a company and what they can do for us. During the formation of the project teams, Prodware proposed to involve the Coldec users in this process. And that has resulted in a project that we are very satisfied with. We completed the project within the agreed time limit and remained within budget and with happy users.”
Paint as a fresh product
Coldec expects the paint market to change quickly. The trend is to see paint products more as a fresh product. This means we must get the products to the consumer much faster. The advantage of this is that you no longer have excess stocks. The downside is that you must have the flexibility to provide that service. Small quantities, more flexibility, fast delivery and more control over your supply chain. This is possible with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
